పంజాబీ పండితుడు డాక్టర్ రత్తన్ సింగ్ జగ్గీ రాష్ట్రపతి ద్రౌపది ముర్ము నుండి పద్మశ్రీని అందుకున్నారు. సాహిత్యం,  విద్యా రంగంలో ప్రముఖ పండితుడు డాక్టర్ రత్తన్ సింగ్ జగ్గీకి కేంద్రం పద్మశ్రీ అవార్డును ప్రకటించింది. డాక్టర్ జగ్గీ పంజాబీ, హిందీ సాహిత్య వర్గాలలో సుప్రసిద్ధుడు, గుర్మత్ సాహిత్యం అతని శక్తి. అతను పంజాబీ, హిందీ, గుర్మత్ సాహిత్యం కోసం తన జీవితంలో 70 సంవత్సరాలకు పైగా అంకితం చేశారు.
