నీతి ఆయోగ్ సీఈఓగా పరమేశ్వరన్ అయ్యర్ సోమవారం బాధ్యతలు స్వీకరించారు. జూన్ 30న పదవీ విరమణ చేసిన అమితాబ్ కాంత్ స్థానంలో అయ్యర్ తాజా బాధ్యతలు చేపట్టారు. రెండేళ్లు లేదా తదుపరి ఆదేశాలు వచ్చే వరకూ అయ్యర్ తాజా బాధ్యతల్లో కొనసాగుతారు.

నీతి ఆయోగ్ సీఈఓగా పరమేశ్వరన్ అయ్యర్ సోమవారం బాధ్యతలు స్వీకరించారు. జూన్ 30న పదవీ విరమణ చేసిన అమితాబ్ కాంత్ స్థానంలో అయ్యర్ తాజా బాధ్యతలు చేపట్టారు. రెండేళ్లు లేదా తదుపరి ఆదేశాలు వచ్చే వరకూ అయ్యర్ తాజా బాధ్యతల్లో కొనసాగుతారు. కాంత్కు వర్తించిన నియామక, బాధ్యతల విధివిధానాలే అయ్యర్కూ వర్తిస్తాయని అధికారిక ప్రకటన పేర్కొంది. కేంద్రం ప్రతిష్టాత్మకంగా పరిగణించిన 20 బిలియన్ డాలర్ల స్వచ్ఛ భారత్ మిషన్ అమలుకు అయ్యర్ గతంలో నాయకత్వం వహించారు. ఉత్తరప్రదేశ్ కేడర్కు చెందిన 1981 బ్యాచ్ ఐఏఎస్ అధికారి అయిన ఆయన ప్రభుత్వ, ప్రైవేట్ రంగాలలో పని చేశారు. 2016–20 మధ్య కాలంలో తాగునీరు, పారిశుద్ధ్య మంత్రిత్వ శాఖలో కార్యదర్శిగా పనిచేశారు.
