నేడు అండమాన్‌ సముద్రా­నికి ఆనుకుని ఉన్న ఆగ్నేయ బంగాళాఖాతంలో ఉపరితల ఆవర్తనం ఏర్పడింది. ఇది సముద్రమట్టానికి 4.5 కి.మీ.ల ఎత్తు వరకు విస్తరించి ఉంది. రేపటికి ఇది బంగాళాఖాతం మధ్య ప్రాంతాల్లో అల్పపీడనంగా మారనుందని ఐఎండీ అమరావతి విభాగం వెల్లడించింది. ఇది వాయవ్య దిశగా పయనించి అక్టోబరు 23 నాటికి పశ్చిమ మధ్య బంగాళాఖాతంలో ప్రవేశించి వాయుగుండంగా బలపడనుందని వివరించింది. దీని ప్రభావం ఉత్తరాంధ్రపై ఉంటుందని భావిస్తున్నారు.ఇది తుపానుగా మారితే దీనికి సైక్లోన్ హమూన్ గా నామకరణం చేయనున్నారు.
