2019, ఫిబ్రవరి 14న జరిగిన పుల్వామా ఉగ్రదాడిలో 40 మంది సీఆర్పీఎఫ్ జవానులు అమరులయ్యారు. ఈ ఘటనలో 35 మంది గాయపడ్డారు. ఆరోజు సీఆర్పీఎఫ్ కాన్వాయ్లో 78 వాహనాలు ఉండగా, వాటిలో 2500 మందికి పైగా సైనికులు ప్రయాణిస్తున్నారు. ఉగ్రవాదులు 200 కిలోల పేలుడు పదార్థాలతో కూడిన వాహనంతో సెంట్రల్ రిజర్వ్ పోలీస్ ఫోర్స్ (సీఆర్పీఎఫ్) కాన్వాయ్ను లక్ష్యంగా చేసుకున్నారు.
