SC on ED Probes: నిందితులు సమాధానం చెప్పలేదని ఈడీ ప్రతీకార చర్యలకు పాల్పడకూడదు, కీలక వ్యాఖ్యలు చేసిన సుప్రీంకోర్టు
కేసుల దర్యాప్తుల సమయంలో ఈడీ ప్రతీకార చర్యలకు పాల్పడకూడదని, చట్టప్రకారం వ్యవహరించాలని ఎన్ఫోర్స్మెంట్ డైరెక్టరేట్ (ED)పై సుప్రీంకోర్టు (Supreme Court) కీలక వ్యాఖ్యలు చేసింది.

కేసుల దర్యాప్తుల సమయంలో ఈడీ ప్రతీకార చర్యలకు పాల్పడకూడదని, చట్టప్రకారం వ్యవహరించాలని ఎన్ఫోర్స్మెంట్ డైరెక్టరేట్ (ED)పై సుప్రీంకోర్టు (Supreme Court) కీలక వ్యాఖ్యలు చేసింది.గురుగ్రామ్కు చెందిన ఎం3ఎం కంపెనీపై మనీలాండరింగ్ కేసు (money laundering case)లో ఆ కంపెనీ డైరెక్టర్లు బసంత్ బన్సల్, పంకజ్ బన్సల్ అరెస్టును కొట్టివేస్తూ సర్వోన్నత న్యాయస్థానం ఈ వ్యాఖ్యలు చేసింది.
ఈడీ అడిగిన ప్రశ్నలకు నిందితులు సమాధానాలు చెప్పలేదన్న కారణంతో వారిని అరెస్టు చేయడం సరికాదు. మనీలాండరింగ్ చట్టం కింద వారు నేరానికి పాల్పడ్డారని చెప్పేందుకు కచ్చితమైన ఆధారాలను సేకరించి అరెస్టు చేయాలి. అంతేగానీ, సమన్లకు సరిగా స్పందించలేదని ఎవరినీ అరెస్టు చేయకూడదు. అంతేగాక, అరెస్టు సమయంలో అందుకు గల కారణాలను కూడా నిందితులకు లిఖితపూర్వకంగా అందించాలి’’ అని ధర్మాసనం ఈ సందర్భంగా వ్యాఖ్యానించింది.
