ఉత్తరప్రదేశ్లోని గోరఖ్పూర్లో నిర్మాణంలో ఉన్న ఓవర్బ్రిడ్జికి చెందిన బరువైన దిమ్మ క్రేన్ నుంచి పడింది. బైక్పై వెళ్తున్న పోలీస్పై ఆ దిమ్మ పడింది. దీంతో దాని కింద నలిగి అతడు మరణించాడు. (Girder Falls, Cop Crushed To Death) బైక్ వెనుక కూర్చొన్న మరో పోలీస్ తీవ్రంగా గాయపడ్డాడు. నకహా రైల్వే క్రాసింగ్ వద్ద ఓవర్బ్రిడ్జి నిర్మిస్తున్నారు. గురువారం ఉదయం 10 క్వింటాళ్ల బరువైన అల్యూమినియం గిడ్డర్ను క్రేన్ సహాయంతో వంతెనపైకి చేర్చేందుకు ప్రయత్నించారు.క్రేన్ గొలుసులు తెగడంతో బైక్పై వెళ్తున్న పోలీస్పై ఆ దిమ్మ పడింది. దీంతో దాని కింద నలిగి ఉత్తరాఖండ్లోని హరిద్వార్కు చెందిన 45 ఏళ్ల విజేంద్ర సింగ్గా మృతుడ్ని గుర్తించారు. బైక్ వెనుక కూర్చొన్న పోలీస్ ఇన్స్పెక్టర్ మానాయే కుందు తీవ్రంగా గాయపడ్డాడు. హాస్పిటల్లో చికిత్స పొందుతున్న ఆయన పరిస్థితి విషమంగా ఉందని డాక్టర్లు తెలిపారు.
