ఉక్రెయిన్తో విలీనమైన నాలుగు భూభాగాలకు చెందిన ప్రాంతీయ సంస్థలను సభ్యులుగా చేర్చుకున్నందుకు రష్యా ఒలింపిక్ కమిటీపై తక్షణమే నిషేధం విధించినట్లు అంతర్జాతీయ ఒలింపిక్ కమిటీ తెలిపింది.
ఉక్రెయిన్తో విలీనమైన నాలుగు భూభాగాలకు చెందిన ప్రాంతీయ సంస్థలను సభ్యులుగా చేర్చుకున్నందుకు రష్యా ఒలింపిక్ కమిటీపై తక్షణమే నిషేధం విధించినట్లు అంతర్జాతీయ ఒలింపిక్ కమిటీ తెలిపింది. లుహాన్స్క్, డొనెట్స్క్, ఖెర్సన్, జపోరిజ్జియా ప్రాంతాల నుండి ఒలింపిక్ కౌన్సిల్లను గుర్తించిన తర్వాత ROC ఎటువంటి నిధులకు అర్హత పొందదని IOC జోడించింది.
"రష్యన్ ఒలింపిక్ కమిటీ 2023 అక్టోబరు 5న ఏకపక్షంగా తీసుకున్న నిర్ణయం ప్రకారం, ఉక్రెయిన్ జాతీయ ఒలింపిక్ కమిటీ (NOC) అధికారంలో ఉన్న ప్రాంతీయ క్రీడా సంస్థలను సభ్యులుగా చేర్చారు. అవి (అవి డొనెట్స్క్, ఖెర్సన్, లుహాన్స్క్, జపోరిజియా). ఇది ఒలింపిక్ చార్టర్ను ఉల్లంఘించడమే’’ అని IOC ఒక ప్రకటనలో తెలిపింది.
