రెండు రోజుల క్రితం కువైట్లో జరిగిన ఘోర అగ్నిప్రమాదంలో మరణించిన భారతీయుల భౌతికకాయాలతో భారత వైమానిక దళం (ఐఏఎఫ్) విమానం శుక్రవారం ఇక్కడి అంతర్జాతీయ విమానాశ్రయంలో దిగింది. IAF C30J విమానం భారతీయుల మృతదేహాలను తీసుకువచ్చింది. వారిలో 31 మందిని ఇక్కడి విమానాశ్రయంలో మృతుల బంధువులకు అప్పగించారు.

45 మృతదేహాల్లో 23 మంది కేరళీయులు, 7 మంది తమిళులు, కర్ణాటకకు చెందిన ఒకరు ఉన్నట్లు అధికారులు తెలిపారు. జూన్ 12న అల్-మంగాఫ్ భవనంలో జరిగిన అగ్నిప్రమాదంలో 49 మంది మరణించారని, వారిలో ఎక్కువ మంది భారతీయులేనని అధికారులు తెలిపారు. మిగిలిన వారు పాకిస్తాన్, ఫిలిపినో, ఈజిప్షియన్ మరియు నేపాలీ జాతీయులు. దక్షిణ కువైట్లోని మంగాఫ్ ప్రాంతంలోని భవనంలో దాదాపు 195 మంది వలస కార్మికులు ఉన్నారు.ఆ భవనమే మంటల్లో చిక్కుకుంది.
