Washington, D.C, FEB 23: ఆర్ధికమాంద్యం ఎఫెక్ట్ తో ఇప్పటికే ఐటీ కంపెనీలు, పలు ఇతర సంస్థలు భారీగా ఉద్యోగులను తొలగిస్తోంది (layoffs). అయితే ఈ ట్రెండ్ మీడియాకు కూడా పాకింది. తాజాగా అమెరికాకు చెందిన నేషనల్ పబ్లిక్ రేడియో (NPR) తమ సంస్థలోని ఉద్యోగుల్లో 10శాతం మందికి ఉద్వాసన పలికింది. అంటే దాదాపు వంద మందిని ఇంటికి పంపించేసింది. 53 ఏళ్ల ఎన్‌పీఆర్ చరిత్రలో ఇదే అతిపెద్ద ఉద్యోగాల తొలగింపు (largest layoffs) అని నిపుణులు చెప్తున్నారు. ఆర్ధికంగా ఇబ్బందులు ఎదుర్కుంటుండటంతో...దిద్దుబాటు చర్యల్లో భాగంగా ఈ నిర్ణయం తీసుకున్నట్లు ఎన్‌పీఆర్ ప్రకటించింది. గతంతో పోలిస్తే తమ సంస్థ ఆదాయంలో 30 మిలియన్ల నష్టం వచ్చిందని, దాంతో పాటూ తాము పెట్టుబడులు పెట్టిన సంస్థలు నష్టాల్లోకి వెళ్లిపోయాయని సంస్థ సీఈవో తెలిపారు. ఉద్యోగుల తొలగింపు ట్రెండ్ అనేది మీడియా సంస్థలకు కూడా పాకడంతో అన్ని రంగాల ఎంప్లాయిస్ లో భయం నెలకొంది.
