ఢిల్లీలో నిర్వహించనున్న గణతంత్ర వేడుకలకు ముఖ్య అతిథిగా ఫ్రాన్స్ అధ్యక్షుడు ఇమాన్యుయేల్ మెక్రాన్ (Emmanuel Macron) భారత్కు చేరుకున్నారు. రెండు రోజుల పర్యటన నిమిత్తం గురువారం మధ్యాహ్నం ఆయన రాజస్థాన్ రాజధాని జైపుర్లో అడుగుపెట్టారు.

ఢిల్లీలో నిర్వహించనున్న గణతంత్ర వేడుకలకు ముఖ్య అతిథిగా ఫ్రాన్స్ అధ్యక్షుడు ఇమాన్యుయేల్ మెక్రాన్ (Emmanuel Macron) భారత్కు చేరుకున్నారు. రెండు రోజుల పర్యటన నిమిత్తం గురువారం మధ్యాహ్నం ఆయన రాజస్థాన్ రాజధాని జైపుర్లో అడుగుపెట్టారు. విదేశాంగ మంత్రి ఎస్.జైశంకర్, రాష్ట్ర గవర్నర్ కల్రాజ్ మిశ్రా, సీఎం భజన్లాల్ శర్మ ఆయనకు స్వాగతం పలికారు. రాంబాగ్ ప్యాలెస్లో మెక్రాన్ కోసం ప్రత్యేక విందు ఏర్పాటుచేశారు.
గణతంత్ర వేడుకలకు తొలుత అమెరికా అధ్యక్షుడు జో బైడెన్ను ఆహ్వానించగా, వివిధ కారణాల వల్ల ఈ కార్యక్రమానికి హాజరుకాలేనని బైడెన్ చెప్పినట్లు సమాచారం. ఈ నేపథ్యంలో ఫ్రాన్స్ అధ్యక్షుడిని ఆహ్వానించగా ఆయన అంగీకరించారు. గతేడాది జులైలో పారిస్లో నిర్వహించిన ఫ్రాన్స్ జాతీయ దినోత్సవ ‘బాస్టిల్ డే’ పరేడ్లో ప్రధాని మోదీ ముఖ్యఅతిథిగా పాల్గొన్నారు.
