HC on Dowry: తక్కువ కట్నం ఇచ్చినందుకు భార్యను అవమానించడం శిక్షార్హమైన నేరం కాదు, వరకట్నంపై అలహబాద్ హైకోర్టు కీలక వ్యాఖ్యలు

భర్త బంధువులపై దాఖలైన క్రిమినల్ ఫిర్యాదులను కొట్టివేస్తూ అలహాబాద్ హైకోర్టు వరకట్నం డిమాండ్ చేయడం శిక్షార్హమైన నేరమైనప్పటికీ, తక్కువ కట్నం ఇచ్చినందుకు అవమానించడం శిక్షార్హమైన నేరం కాదని పేర్కొంది.కుటుంబ సభ్యులపై ఆరోపణలు స్పష్టంగా మరియు నిస్సందేహంగా ఉండాలని కోర్టు పేర్కొంది. ఈ కేసులో నిందితుడైన భర్త కారును కట్నంగా డిమాండ్ చేశాడని,

అయితే అత్తింటివారు వరకట్నం డిమాండ్ నెరవేర్చకపోవడంతో, తన ఇంటి నుంచి భార్యను బయటకు పంపివేసి, మందులు వేసి అస్వస్థతకు గురిచేశారని భార్య ఆరోపించింది. భార్యపై దాడికి పాల్పడినట్లు ఎలాంటి ఆరోపణలు చేయలేదని, గాయపడిన నివేదిక ఏ సమయంలోనూ దాఖలు చేయలేదని దరఖాస్తుదారులు పేర్కొన్నారు. అత్తింటివారిపై భార్య అస్పష్టమైన, సాధారణ ఆరోపణలు చేసిందని వాదించారు. ఫిర్యాదులలోని అస్పష్టమైన ఆరోపణలు నిందితులు తమను తాము రక్షించుకునే హక్కులు, సామర్థ్యాన్ని దెబ్బతీస్తాయని, సమర్థవంతంగా రక్షణ కోసం అనిశ్చితిని సృష్టిస్తుందని కోర్టు పేర్కొంది.  ప్రజలు పెళ్లి కంటే సహజీవనానికే ఎక్కువ ఇష్టపడతారు, ఛత్తీస్‌గఢ్ హైకోర్టు కీలక వ్యాఖ్యలు, త్వరగా తప్పించుకోవడానికి వీలు ఉంటుందంటూ..
