లేవ్‌ పాల్టర్‌ పూర్తి పేరు లియోన్ లూయిస్ పాల్టర్‌.నవంబర్ 3, 1928న న్యూయార్క్‌లోని బ్రూక్లిన్‌లో జన్మించాడు. రంగస్థలం నటుడిగా కెరీర్‌ ప్రారంభించి సినీ రంగంలోకి ఎంట్రీ ఇచ్చాడు. టెలివిజన్‌ రంగంలోనూ నటుడిగా మంచి గుర్తింపు సంపాదించుకున్నాడు. జేమ్స్‌ కేమెరూన్‌ తెరకెక్కించిన ‘టైటానిక్‌’ మూవీతో పాల్టర్‌కు మంచి గుర్తింపు వచ్చింది. ఆ చిత్రంలో డిపార్ట్‌మెంట్ స్టోర్ మాగ్నెట్ ఇసిడోర్ స్ట్రాస్ పాత్రను పోషించాడు.పాల్టర్‌ మరణ వార్త తెలియగానే టైటానిక్‌ టీమ్‌తో పాటు ఆయన అభిమానులు సోషల్‌ మీడియా వేదికగా సంతాపం ప్రకటిస్తున్నారు.
