కర్ణాటకతో పాటు ఇతర పొరుగు ప్రాంతాలకు కనెక్టివిటీ, యాక్సెసిబిలిటీని పెంచడానికి ప్రధాన మంత్రి నరేంద్ర మోడీ సోమవారం శివమొగ్గ విమానాశ్రయాన్ని ప్రారంభించారు. కొత్త విమానాశ్రయాన్ని దాదాపు రూ. 450 కోట్లతో అభివృద్ధి చేశారు. ప్యాసింజర్ టెర్మినల్లో ప్రతి గంటకు 300 మంది ప్రయాణికులు ప్రయాణించవచ్చు.
