వైఎస్సార్ తెలంగాణ పార్టీ (YSRTP) అధ్యక్షురాలు వైఎస్ షర్మిల (YS Sharmila) అధికారికంగా కాంగ్రెస్ పార్టీలో చేరారు. ఏఐసీసీ అధ్యక్షుడు మల్లికార్జున్ ఖర్గే ఆమెకు కండువా వేసి పార్టీలోకి ఆహ్వానించారు. బుధవారం సాయంత్రం విజయవాడ నుంచి నేరుగా ఢిల్లీ వెళ్లిన షర్మిలా రెడ్డి.. గురువారం ఉదయం తన భర్త అనిల్తో కలిసి ఏఐసీసీ ప్రధాన కార్యాలయానికి చేరుకున్నారు.

అనంతరం నిర్వహించిన కార్యక్రమంలో ఖర్గే, పార్టీ అగ్రనేత రాహుల్గాంధీ సమక్షంలో ఆమె కాంగ్రెస్లో చేరారు. దీంతో వైఎస్సార్ తెలంగాణ పార్టీని అధికారికంగా హస్తం పార్టీలో షర్మిల విలీనం చేసినట్లయింది. కాంగ్రెస్లో షర్మిల చేరిన నేపథ్యంలో ఆమెకు పార్టీ ఏ బాధ్యతలు అప్పగిస్తుందనేది ఆసక్తికరంగా మారింది. ఏఐసీసీలో పదవి ఇస్తారా? ఏపీ కాంగ్రెస్ బాధ్యతలు అప్పగిస్తారా? అనేదానిపై జోరుగా ఊహాగానాలు కొనసాగుతున్నాయి.
