మహారాష్ట్రలో కురుస్తున్న భారీ వర్షాలకు కొండచరియలు విరిగిపడ్డాయి (Maharashtra Landslides). రాయ్‌గడ్‌ జిల్లాలో ఈ ఘటన చోటు చేసుకోగా 16 మంది మరణించారు. సుమారు 48 కుటుంబాలకు చెందిన వందలాది మంది శిథిలాల కింద చిక్కుకున్నారు. గురువారం తెల్లవారుజామున ఇర్షల్వాడి గ్రామంలో కొండచరియలు విరిగిపడ్డాయి.

దీంతో ఇళ్లలో నిద్రిస్తున్న వారిలో 16 మంది చనిపోయారు. మరికొందరు గాయపడ్డారు. సుమారు 48 కుటుంబాలు నివసిస్తున్న ఇండ్లు కూలిపోయాయి. శిథిలాల నుంచి 12 మృతదేహాలను వెలికి తీశారు. రెస్క్యూకు చెందిన ఒక వ్యక్తి గుండెపోటుతో మరణించాడు. సుమారు వందల మంది శిథిలాల కింద చిక్కుకుని ఉంటారని అనుమానిస్తున్నారు. 21 మందిని అధికారులు రక్షించారు. ఇంకా రెస్క్యూ ఆపరేషన్ కొనసాగుతోంది.
