Newdelhi, Oct 23: అమెరికాలో (America) ఒక హత్య కేసులో అరెస్టయ్యి ముగ్గురు వ్యక్తులు 36 ఏండ్లు శిక్ష అనుభవించారు. అయితే, తర్వాత వాళ్లు నిర్దోషులుగా తేలడంతో జరిగిన నష్టానికి ప్రభుత్వం వారికి 48 మిలియన్ డాలర్లు (సుమారు రూ.400 కోట్లు) పరిహారంగా (Compensation) చెల్లించనున్నట్టు ద వాషింగ్టన్ పోస్ట్ వెల్లడించింది. ఆల్ ఫ్రెడ్ చెస్ట్ నట్, రాంసమ్ వాట్ కిన్స్, ఆండ్రూ స్టీవర్ట్ 16 ఏండ్ల వయసులో ఉండగా 1983లో ఒక హత్యకేసులో పోలీసులు అరెస్ట్ చేశారు. దీనిపై రీ అప్పీల్ చేశారు. అప్పట్లో తమ కేసు దర్యాప్తు చేసిన అధికారులు ప్రత్యక్ష, భౌతిక ఆధారాలను విస్మరించారని ఆరోపించడమే కాక, దానిని రుజువు చేయడంతో 2019లో వీరిని విడుదల చేస్తూ ఆదేశాలిచ్చారు.
