భారత రక్షణ పరిశోధన అభివృద్ధి సంస్థ (DRDO) ఆకాశ్ క్షిపణి పరీక్షను విజయవంతంగా నిర్వహించింది. ఒడిశా తీరంలోని చండీపూర్లోగల ఇంటిగ్రేటెడ్ టెస్ట్ రేంజ్ (ITR) ఈ పరీక్ష నిర్వహించారు. గగనతలంలో చాలా తక్కువ ఎత్తులో అత్యంత వేగంగా దూసుకెళ్లే మానవరహిత లక్ష్యంపై డీఆర్డీవో ఈ ప్రయోగాన్ని నిర్వహించింది.
ఈ పరీక్ష ద్వారా డీఆర్డీవో స్వదేశీయంగా అభివృద్ధి చేసిన ఆకాశ్ క్షిపణి వ్యవస్థలోని రేడియో ఫ్రీక్వెన్సీ సీకర్ను, లాంఛర్ను, మల్టీ ఫంక్షన్ రాడార్ అండ్ కమాండ్, కంట్రోల్ను, కమ్యూనికేషన్ వ్యవస్థ పనితీరును పరిశీలించింది. డీఆర్డీవో, భారత వైమానిక దళం (IAF), భారత్ డైనమిక్స్ లిమిటెడ్ (BDL), భారత్ ఎలక్ట్రానిక్స్ లిమిటెడ్ (BEL) కు చెందిన సీనియర్ అధికారులు ఈ క్షిపణి పరీక్షలో పాల్గొన్నారు.
