భారత్ బయోటెక్ యొక్క ఇంట్రానాసల్ కోవిడ్-19 వ్యాక్సిన్ అభ్యర్థి, BBV-154, డ్రగ్స్ కంట్రోలర్ జనరల్ ఆఫ్ ఇండియా (DCGI) మంగళవారం ఆమోదించింది. ఇది ప్రపంచంలోనే మొట్టమొదటి ఇంట్రా-నాసల్ COVID-19 వ్యాక్సిన్.

భారత్ బయోటెక్ సంస్థ రూపొందించిన నాసల్ కోవిడ్ వ్యాక్సిన్కు డీసీజీఐ మంగళవారం గ్రీన్ సిగ్నల్ ఇచ్చింది. ముక్కు ద్వారా తీసుకునే కోవిడ్ వ్యాక్సిన్ను ఎమర్జెన్సీగా వాడేందుకు ప్రభుత్వం అనుమతి ఇచ్చింది. ఇంట్రానాసల్ కోవిడ్19 టీకాకు డీసీజీఐ అనుమతి ఇచ్చినట్లు కేంద్ర ఆరోగ్యశాఖ మంత్రి డాక్టర్ మన్సూక్ మాండవీయ తెలిపారు.
