రాకెట్ వ్యర్థ శకలాలు వచ్చే దశాబ్దంలో భూమి మీద మనుషుల్ని తాకే ప్రమాదం 10 శాతం వరకు ఉన్నది. శక్తులతో ఆ శకలాలను వెంటనే సముద్రాల్లో కూల్చకపోతే రానున్న రోజుల్లో ప్రాణనష్టం సంభవించవచ్చు.
Newyork, August 11: భూ దిగువకక్ష్యలో (Lower earth orbit) పరిభ్రమిస్తున్న రాకెట్ శకలాలు (Rocket Debris) వచ్చే దశాబ్దంలో భూమి మీద మనుషుల్ని తాకే ప్రమాదం 10 శాతం వరకు ఉన్నదని యూనివర్సిటీ ఆఫ్‌ బ్రిటిష్‌ కొలంబియా పరిశోధకులు హెచ్చరించారు.
అయస్కాంత శక్తులతో ఆ శకలాలను వెంటనే సముద్రాల్లో కూల్చకపోతే రానున్న రోజుల్లో ప్రాణనష్టం సంభవించవచ్చని అన్నారు. శకలాలు పడే ప్రమాదం జకార్తా, ఢాకా, లాగోస్‌ వంటి నగరాల (Cities)పై ఎక్కువగా పడే ప్రమాదం ఉన్నదని, న్యూయార్క్‌, బీజింగ్‌, మాస్కోపై శకలాలు పడే ప్రమాదం తక్కువేనని చెప్పారు.
