భూతాపంతో ప్రపంచంలోని మిగతా ఎడారులన్నీ మరింత వేడెక్కుతుంటే.. థార్లో పచ్చదనం పరుచుకుంటుందని పరిశోధకులు చెప్తున్నారు. వచ్చే శతాబ్దానికి థార్ 'ఏడారి' కాస్త నందన వనంగా మారనుందని ముక్తకంఠంతో అంటున్నారు.
Newdelhi, Aug 18: భూతాపంతో ప్రపంచంలోని మిగతా ఎడారులన్నీ (Deserts) మరింత వేడెక్కుతుంటే.. థార్లో (Thar) పచ్చదనం పరుచుకుంటుందని పరిశోధకులు చెప్తున్నారు. వచ్చే శతాబ్దానికి థార్ 'ఏడారి' కాస్త నందన వనంగా మారనుందని ముక్తకంఠంతో అంటున్నారు. వాతావరణ మార్పుల కారణంగా ఈ పరిణామం చోటు చేసుకోవచ్చని తాజా అధ్యయనంలో వెల్లడించారు.

ఎందుకు ఇలా?
ఈ మేరకు 'ఎర్త్స్ ఫ్యూచర్' (Earths Future) జర్నల్ దీనికి సంబంధించిన ఆసక్తికర కథనాన్ని ప్రచురించింది. పరిమిత గ్రీన్ హౌస్ వాయువుల వల్ల భారత్ లోని వాయువ్య పాక్షిక శుష్క ప్రాంతాల్లో వర్షపాతం 50-200 శాతానికి పెరిగే అవకాశం ఉన్నదని అధ్యయనం తెలిపింది. ఈకారణంగానే థార్ ఎడారిలో పచ్చదనం పరుచుకోవచ్చని వెల్లడించింది.
