అత్యధిక కాలుష్యానికి కారణమవుతున్న దేశాల్లో ప్రపంచవ్యాప్తంగా భారత్ ఎనిమిదో స్థానంలో నిలిచింది. ప్రపంచంలోని 100 అత్యధిక కాలుష్య నగరాల్లో 65 నగరాలు భారత్లోనే ఉన్నాయి.
Newdelhi, June 9: అత్యధిక కాలుష్యానికి (Pollution) కారణమవుతున్న దేశాల్లో ప్రపంచవ్యాప్తంగా భారత్ (India) ఎనిమిదో స్థానంలో నిలిచింది. ప్రపంచంలోని 100 అత్యధిక కాలుష్య నగరాల్లో (Polluted Cities) 65 నగరాలు భారత్లోనే ఉన్నాయి. ఈ మేరకు స్విట్జర్లాండ్కు చెందిన ఎయిర్ క్వాలిటీ టెక్నాలజీ కంపెనీ ‘ఐక్యూఎయిర్’ ప్రపంచ వాయు నాణ్యత నివేదిక – 2022ను విడుదల చేసింది. ఈ జాబితాలో షాకింగ్ విషయాలు వెల్లడయ్యాయి. భారత్ లో అత్యధిక కాలుష్య నగరాలన్నీ ఉత్తర భారత్ లోనివే కావడం గమనార్హం. దేశంలోనే అత్యంత కలుషిత ప్రాంతంగా మహారాష్ట్రలోని భీవండి నిలిచింది. ప్రపంచంలోనే అత్యంత కాలుష్య నగరాల్లో ఢిల్లీ నాలుగో స్థానంలో నిలిచింది. అంతేకాదు అత్యంత కలుషిత దేశ రాజధానుల్లో ఢిల్లీ రెండో స్థానంలో నిలవడం శోచనీయం. ప్రపంచంలోని 20 అత్యంత కాలుష్య ప్రాంతాల్లో 14 ప్రాంతాలు భారత్ లోనే ఉన్నాయి.
65/100 most polluted cities in the world are in India. Interestingly, South Indian cities are not prominent in the list.
