ఉపరాష్ట్రపతి ఎన్నికల్లో అధికార ఎన్డీయే కూటమి అభ్యర్థి జగ్దీప్ ధన్ఖడ్ విజయం సాధించారు. విపక్షాల అభ్యర్థి మార్గరెట్ ఆళ్వా పై 346 ఓట్ల తేడాతో ఆయన గెలుపొందారు.
ఉపరాష్ట్రపతి ఎన్నికల్లో అధికార ఎన్డీయే కూటమి అభ్యర్థి జగ్దీప్ ధన్ఖడ్ విజయం సాధించారు. విపక్షాల అభ్యర్థి మార్గరెట్ ఆళ్వా పై 346 ఓట్ల తేడాతో ఆయన గెలుపొందారు. మొత్తం 725 ఓట్లు పోలయ్యాయి. అందులో ధన్ఖడ్కు అనుకూలంగా 528 ఓట్లు పోలవగా, మార్గరెట్ ఆళ్వాకు 182 ఓట్లు పోలయ్యాయి. 15 ఓట్లు చెల్లుబాటు కాలేదు. అంతకుముందు పార్లమెంటు భవనంలో ఉదయం 10 గంటల నుంచి సాయంత్రం 5 గంటలకు నిర్వహించిన పోలింగ్ ప్రక్రియ ప్రశాంతంగా సాగింది.
