ప్రముఖ కార్ల తయారీ సంస్థ ఫోర్డ్ వచ్చే మూడేళ్లలో ఐరోపాలో 3,800 మంది ఉద్యోగుల్ని తొలగించనున్నట్లు ప్రకటించింది. ఓ వైపు ఆర్థిక మాంద్య భయాలు, మరో వైపు మార్కెట్లో ఎలక్ట్రిక్ కార్ల డిమాండ్ దృష్ట్యా ఖర్చుల్ని తగ్గించుకునే ప్రయత్నం చేస్తున్నట్లు తెలిపింది. ఇందులో భాగంగా జర్మనీలో 2,300 మందిని, యూకేలో 200 మందిని తొలగిస్తున్నట్లు ఫోర్డ్ వెల్లడించింది. 2035 నాటికల్లా యూరప్ అంతటా ఈవీ కార్లను అమ్మాలనే లక్ష్యంతో పనిచేస్తున్నామని, ఈ ఏడాదిలోనే కంపెనీ ఐరోపాలో తయారు చేసిన తొలి విద్యుత్తు కారును విడుదల చేయనున్నట్లు ఆ సంస్థ యాజమాన్యం ఓ ప్రకటన విడుదల చేసింది.
