నిశ్శబ్ద్ , గజిని, హౌస్ఫుల్ వంటి చిత్రాలలో పనిచేసిన జియా ఖాన్ జూన్ 3, 2013న ఆత్మహత్య చేసుకుని మరణించిన సంగతి విదితమే. ఆమె తన జుహు నివాసంలో ఉరి వేసుకుని కనిపించింది. నటితో సంబంధం ఉన్నట్లు చెప్పబడిన సూరజ్ పంచోలి 'ఆత్మహత్యకు ప్రేరేపించినట్లు' ఆరోపణలు వచ్చాయి. తాజాగా సూరజ్ పంచోలీని బెదిరింపు ఆరోపణల నుంచి విముక్తి చేస్తూ ప్రత్యేక సీబీఐ కోర్టు తీర్పు వెలువరించింది. నివేదికల ప్రకారం, 2016 ఆగస్టులో సీబీఐ ఈ కేసులో హత్యను కొట్టిపారేసింది. నటి మరణం 'ఉరి వేసుకుని ఆత్మహత్య' అని పేర్కొంది.
