భారత మాజీ క్రికెటర్, బీజేపీ ఎంపీ గౌతమ్ గంభీర్ కొవిడ్-19 బారిన పడ్డారు. ఎంపీ గౌతమ్ గంభీర్ కు మంగళవారం జరిపిన పరీక్షల్లో కొవిడ్ పాజిటివ్ అని తేలింది. తనకు కరోనా తేలికపాటి లక్షణాలు ఉన్నాయని గౌతమ్ గంభీర్ ట్వీట్ చేశారు. కాగా 2022 సీజన్ కోసం లక్నో సూపర్ జెయింట్ ఐపీఎల్ ఫ్రాంచైజీకి మెంటార్గా ఉన్నారు.తనకు కరోనా సోకినందున తనను కలిసిన ప్రతి ఒక్కరూ పరీక్షలు చేయించుకోవాలని గౌతమ్ సూచించారు. ‘‘నాకు తేలికపాటి కరోనా లక్షణాలు ఉండటంతో పరీక్ష చేయించగా ఈరోజు నాకు కొవిడ్కు పాజిటివ్ అని తేలింది. నన్ను కలిసిన ప్రతి ఒక్కరూ స్వయంగా పరీక్షించుకోమని అభ్యర్థిస్తున్నాను. ఇంట్లోనే సురక్షితంగా ఉండండి’’ అని గంభీర్ మంగళవారం ట్విట్టర్లో తెలిపారు.
