COVID-19 Sub-Variant JN.1: దేశంలో కరోనా మళ్లీ పుంజుకుంటోంది. ఆదివారం ఒక్కరోజే కొత్తగా 335 పాజిటివ్ కేసులు నమోదయ్యాయి. ఐదుగురు మరణించారు. వారిలో నలుగురు కేరళలోనే (Kerala) ఉండటం గమనార్హం. ప్రస్తుతం దేశంలో 1,701 కేసులు యాక్టివ్గా ఉన్నాయి. దీంతో ఇప్పటివరకు నమోదైన కరోనా కేసుల సంఖ్య 4.50 కోట్లు (4,50,04,816) దాటింది. వీరిలో 4.46 కోట్ల మంది కోలుకున్నారని కేంద్ర ఆరోగ్యశాఖ వెల్లడించింది. కరోనా వల్ల 5,33,316 మంది మరణించారని తెలిపింది.
దీంతో దేశవ్యాప్తంగా కరోనా రికవరీ రేటు 98.81 శాతం, మరణాల రేటు 1.19 శాతంగా ఉందని పేర్కొంది. ఇప్పటివరకు 220.67 కోట్ల కరోనా వ్యాక్సిన్ డోసులు ఇచ్చినట్లు చెప్పింది. కాగా, కేరళలో జేఎన్-1 (JN.1) అనే కొత్త కరోనా వేరియంట్ బయటపడిన విషయం తెలిసింది. దీనివల్ల 73 ఏండ్ల మహిళ సహా నలుగురు మరణించగా, ఉత్తరప్రదేశ్లో ఒకరు చనిపోయారు. దీంతో ప్రజలు అప్రమత్తంగా ఉండాలని అధికారులు సూచిస్తున్నారు.
