మాజీ ప్రధాని పీవీ నరసింహారావుకు మరణానంతరం దేశ అత్యున్నత పౌర పురస్కారం భారతరత్న ప్రదానం చేస్తున్నట్లు ప్రధాని నరేంద్ర మోదీ శుక్రవారం ప్రకటించారు. Xలో PM మోడీ ఇలా అన్నారు: "మన మాజీ ప్రధాన మంత్రి శ్రీ PV నరసింహారావు గారు భారతరత్నతో గౌరవించబడతారని పంచుకోవడం ఆనందంగా ఉంది.

Xలో PM మోడీ ఇలా అన్నారు: "మన మాజీ ప్రధాన మంత్రి శ్రీ PV నరసింహారావు గారు భారతరత్నతో గౌరవించబడతారని పంచుకోవడం ఆనందంగా ఉంది. నరసింహారావుతో పాటు డాక్టర్ ఎంఎస్ స్వామినాథన్, చౌదరి చరణ్ సింగ్లను కూడా భారతరత్న అవార్డుతో సత్కరించనున్నట్లు ప్రధాని మోదీ తెలిపారు. అవార్డు ప్రకటించిన తర్వాత నరసింహారావు కుమార్తె సురభి వాణి దేవి ప్రధాని మోదీకి కృతజ్ఞతలు తెలిపారు. "ఇది ఇంతకు ముందే చేసి ఉండాల్సింది. దేశానికి ఆయన చేసిన కృషిని ముందుగా గౌరవించాల్సిన అవసరం ఉంది" అని ఆమె పేర్కొంది.
