రొమ్ము క్యాన్సర్ తర్వాత భారతీయ మహిళలు ఎక్కువగా ఎదుర్కొంటున్న గర్భాశయ క్యాన్సర్ కు హెచ్ పీవీ (హ్యూమన్ పాపిల్లోమా వైరస్) టీకాతో చెక్ పెట్టవచ్చని తాజా అధ్యయనం ఒకటి వెల్లడించింది.
Newdelhi, Jan 26: గర్భాశయ క్యాన్సర్ (Cervical Cancer) కు హెచ్ పీవీ (HPV Vaccine) (హ్యూమన్ పాపిల్లోమా వైరస్) ఒక్క డోసు టీకాతో చెక్ పెట్టవచ్చని తాజా అధ్యయనం ఒకటి వెల్లడించింది. పదేండ్ల వ్యవధిలో దేశంలోని వివిధ దవాఖానల్లో 10-18 ఏండ్ల మధ్య వయసుండి హెచ్ పీవీ టీకా వేసుకొన్న 2,135 మంది బాలికలపై ఈ అధ్యయనాన్ని నిర్వహించారు. ఈ అధ్యయనం ప్రకారం.. బాలికలకు హెచ్వీపీ సింగల్ డోస్ టీకా వేయడం వల్ల గర్భాశయ క్యాన్సర్ యొక్క జీవితకాల ప్రమాదాన్ని తగ్గించవచ్చని తేలింది. అవసరమైన వారికి ఈ టీకాను ఇవ్వాలని డబ్ల్యూహెచ్వో సిఫారసు చేసింది. కాగా, రొమ్ము క్యాన్సర్ తర్వాత భారతీయ మహిళలు ఎక్కువగా ఎదుర్కొంటున్న సమస్య గర్భాశయ క్యాన్సర్ అన్న విషయం తెలిసిందే.
