Newyork, Dec 18: ఒకటి కాదు రెండు కాదు ఏకంగా పదివేల సంవత్సరాలపాటు నడిచే 500 అడుగుల భారీ గడియారాన్ని (Big Clock) నిర్మించేందుకు ప్రముఖ ఈ-కామర్స్ కంపెనీ ‘అమెజాన్’ (Amazon) వ్యవస్థాపకుడు జెఫ్ బెజోస్ (Jeff Bezos) 42 మిలియన్ డాలర్లు (రూ.350 కోట్లు) కేటాయించారు. కంప్యూటర్ సైంటిస్టు, ఇన్వెంటర్ డానీ హిల్స్ ఆలోచనలోంచి పుట్టిన ఈ ప్రాజెక్ట్ ‘ద క్లాక్ ఆఫ్ ద లాంగ్ నౌ’. ఏడాదికి ఒకమారు ‘టిక్’ అంటూ శబ్ధం చేస్తుంది. ఈ ‘యాంత్రిక గడియారాన్ని’ లాంగ్ న్యూఫౌండేషన్ అనే సంస్థ టెక్సాస్ కొండలపై ఏర్పాటుచేయనున్నది.
