Baghdad Covid Hospital Fire: కరోనా ఆస్పత్రిలో ఆగ్ని ప్రమాదం, 24 మంది అక్కడికక్కడే మృతి, బాగ్దాద్ శివార్లలోని ఇబ్న్ అల్-ఖతిబ్ ఆస్పత్రిలో విషాద ఘటన
ఇరాక్లోని ఓ కరోనా ఆస్పత్రిలో అగ్నిప్రమాదం సంభవించింది. దీంతో హాస్పిటల్లో చికిత్స పొందుతన్న వారిలో 24 మంది మృతిచెందారు. రాజధాని బాగ్దాద్ శివార్లలోని ఇబ్న్ అల్-ఖతిబ్ ఆస్పత్రిలోని ఇంటెన్సివ్ కేర్ యూనిట్ (ఐసీయూ)లో ఆదివారం తెల్లవారుజామున ఒక్కసారిగా మంటలు చెలరేగాయి.
దీంతో ఐసీయూలో ఉన్న 24 మంది అగ్నికి ఆహుతయ్యారు. సమాచారం అందుకున్న అగ్నిమాపక సిబ్బంది ఘటనా స్థలానికి చేరుకున్నారు. ఫైరింజన్లతో మంటలను అదుపుచేయడానికి ప్రయత్నిస్తున్నారు. ఆక్సిజన్ సిలిండర్ల గోదాంలో పేలుళ్లు సంభవించడమే అగ్నిప్రమాదానికి కారణమని అధికారులు తెలిపారు. కాగా ప్రమాద సమయంలో ఐసీయూలో 30 మంది రోగులు ఉన్నారని వెల్లడించారు.అలాగే ఆస్పత్రిలో ఉన్న రోగులు, వారి సంబంధీకులు మొత్తం 120 మంది ఉన్నారని, వారిలో 90 మందిని రక్షించామని తెలిపారు. ఈప్రమాదంలో 50 మందికిపైగా గాయపడ్డారని వెల్లడించారు. వారందరిని ఇతర ఆస్పత్రులకు తరలించామని చెప్పారు.
