భారత ప్రధాని నరేంద్రమోదీ ఫ్రాన్స్ అత్యున్నత పురస్కారాన్ని అందుకున్నారు. ఆ దేశాధ్యక్షుడు ఇమ్మాన్యుయేల్ మాక్రాన్ చేతుల మీదుగా ‘గ్రాండ్ క్రాస్ ఆఫ్ ద లెజియన్ ఆఫ్ ఆనర్’ను అందుకున్నారు. రెండు రోజుల పర్యటన నిమిత్తం గురువారం పారిస్ చేరుకున్న మోదీకి రెడ్ కార్పెట్ స్వాగతం లభించింది

ఫ్రాన్స్ పురస్కారాన్ని అందుకుంటున్న మోదీ ఫొటోలను విదేశాంగశాఖ అధికార ప్రతినిధి అరిందమ్ బాగ్చి ట్వీట్ చేశారు. పురస్కారం అందుకున్న అనంతరం మోదీ మాట్లాడుతూ భారత ప్రజల తరపున కృతజ్ఞతలు తెలిపినట్టు బాగ్చి పేర్కొన్నారు. అంతకుముందు మాక్రాన్, ఆయన భార్య, ప్రథమ పౌరురాలు బ్రిగెట్టి మాక్రాన్ మోదీకి ప్రత్యేక విందు ఇచ్చారు.
