దేశ రాజధానిలో కరోనావైరస్, కోవిడ్ కొత్త వేరియంట్ ఒమిక్రాన్ కేసుల సంఖ్య పెరగడంతో కేజ్రీవాల్ ప్రభుత్వం అప్రమత్తమైంది. కరోనా వైరస్ నియంత్రణలో భాగంగా ఢిల్లీ డిజాస్టర్ మేనేజ్మెంట్ అథారిటీ సూచనల మేరకు వారాంతపు కర్ఫ్యూ విధింస్తున్నట్లు సీఎం కేజ్రీవాల్ ప్రభుత్వం నిర్ణయం తీసుకుంది. శని, ఆదివారాల్లో విధించే కర్ఫ్యూ సమయంలో అత్యవసర సేవలు మాత్రమే అనుమతిస్తామని పేర్కొంది. అయితే ఇప్పటికే ఢిల్లీలో నైట్ కర్ఫ్యూ అమలవుతున్న విషయం తెలిసిందే. ఢిల్లీలో గత 24 గంటల్లో 5,481 కొత్త COVID-19 కేసులు నమోదయ్యాయి, మే 16 నుండి అత్యధికం ఇవే.
