గుజరాత్ అల్లర్లకు కారణమైన గోద్రా సబర్మతి రైలు దహనం కేసులో జీవితఖైదు అనుభవిస్తున్న ఎనిమిది మందికి సుప్రీం కోర్టు శుక్రవారం బెయిల్ మంజూరు చేసింది. అయితే మరో నలుగురికి మాత్రం అభ్యంతరాలు వ్యక్తం చేస్తూ బెయిల్ పిటిషన్లను తిరస్కరించింది.
గుజరాత్ అల్లర్లకు కారణమైన గోద్రా సబర్మతి రైలు దహనం కేసులో జీవితఖైదు అనుభవిస్తున్న ఎనిమిది మందికి సుప్రీం కోర్టు శుక్రవారం బెయిల్ మంజూరు చేసింది. అయితే మరో నలుగురికి మాత్రం అభ్యంతరాలు వ్యక్తం చేస్తూ బెయిల్ పిటిషన్లను తిరస్కరించింది.
చీఫ్ జస్టిస్ డీవై చంద్రచూడ్ నేతృత్వంలోని బెంచ్ ఈ మేరకు శుక్రవారం బెయిల్ ఆదేశాలు జారీ చేసింది. ఎనిమిది మంది 17 ఏళ్లుగా జైలు శిక్ష అనుభవించిన కారణంగా వాళ్లు బెయిల్కు అర్హులేనని ప్రకటించింది ధర్మాసనం. అయితే ఈ నేరంలో మరో నలుగురి పాత్ర తీవ్రత దృష్ట్యా వాళ్లకు బెయిల్ అభ్యర్థలనలను తిరస్కరిస్తున్నట్లు తెలిపింది.
2002, ఫిబ్రవరి 27వ తేదీన గుజరాత్ గోద్రా రైల్వే స్టేషన్ వద్ద సబర్మతి ఎక్స్ప్రెస్లోని కొన్ని కోచ్లను తగలబెట్టారు. ఈ దుర్ఘటనలో 58 మంది ప్రాణాలు కోల్పోయారు. మృతుల్లో అయోధ్య కరసేవకు వెళ్లి తిరిగి వస్తున్నవాళ్లే ఎక్కువగా ఉన్నారు. ఆ మరుసటి రోజు నుంచి గుజరాత్ భగ్గుమంది.
