"వారు ఎక్కడ ఉన్నా మన జాతీయ ప్రయోజనాలను పరిరక్షించడం మా కర్తవ్యం. ఇది భారతీయ జెండాతో కూడిన ఓడ కాదు, అయినా సిబ్బంది భారతీయులే వారు ఆపదలో ఉన్నప్పుడు వారికి సహాయం చేయడం మా జాతీయ విధానం. సుడాన్, ఉక్రెయిన్లలో కూడా మేము అదే చేసాము. మా దేశస్థులను వారు ఎక్కడున్నా తిరిగి తీసుకురావడానికి మేము సవాలుగా తీసుకుంటాము. పైరసీని ఎలాగైనా నిరోధించడానికి చర్యలు తీసుకోవాలని మా నావికాదళ అధికారులకు ఆదేశాలు ఇవ్వబడ్డాయని తెలిపారు. హిందూ మహాసముద్ర ప్రాంతాన్ని సురక్షితంగా ఉంచాలనుకుంటున్నామని తెలిపారు.
