న్యూఢిల్లీ, ముంబైలోని బీబీసీ కార్యాలయాల్లో ఆదాయపు పన్ను శాఖ జరిపిన సర్వేలను ప్రెస్ క్లబ్ ఆఫ్ ఇండియా (పీసీఐ) మంగళవారం ఖండించింది. పన్ను ఎగవేత ఆరోపణల దర్యాప్తులో భాగంగానే బ్రిటీష్ బ్రాడ్‌కాస్టర్ కార్యాలయాల్లో డిపార్ట్‌మెంట్ సర్వేలు నిర్వహించిందని అధికారులు తెలిపారు.ఇటీవలి కాలంలో ప్రభుత్వ సంస్థలు మీడియాపై దాడుల పరంపరలో భాగంగానే ఇటీవలి దాడులు జరుగుతున్నాయి, ప్రత్యేకించి ఆ మీడియా విభాగాలపై ప్రభుత్వం శత్రుత్వంగా భావించింది" అని పిసిఐ ఒక ప్రకటనలో తెలిపింది. మీడియాను భయపెట్టడానికి తమ అధికారాలను దుర్వినియోగం" చేయకుండా దాని ఏజెన్సీలను నిరోధించాలని ప్రభుత్వానికి విజ్ఞప్తి చేసింది. బ్రిటీష్ బ్రాడ్‌కాస్టర్ "ఇండియా: ది మోడీ క్వశ్చన్" అనే రెండు భాగాల డాక్యుమెంటరీని ప్రసారం చేసిన వారాల తర్వాత డిపార్ట్‌మెంట్ చర్య వచ్చింది.
