ఈసీ నియామక వ్యవస్థపై సుప్రీంకోర్టు నేడు సంచలన తీర్పు వెల్లడించింది.ప్రస్తుత నియామక విధానాన్ని సుప్రీంకోర్టు రద్దు చేసింది. ఎలక్షన్ కమిషనర్ల ఎంపిక కోసం కమిటీని ఏర్పాటు చేసింది.కేంద్ర ఎన్నికల సంఘం కమిషనర్లు (ఈసీ), ప్రధాన ఎన్నికల కమిషనర్ (సీఈసీ) నియామకాలను ప్రధాని, ప్రతిపక్షనేత, సీజేఐతో కూడిన కమిటీ మాత్రమే చేపట్టాలని స్పష్టం చేసింది. ఈ మేరకు ఐదుగురు సభ్యులతో కూడిన రాజ్యాంగ ధర్మాసనం ఉత్తర్వులు జారీ చేసింది. భారత ఎన్నికల సంఘం సభ్యుల నియామక ప్రక్రియలో సంస్కరణలు కోరుతూ దాఖలైన పిటిషన్లపై సుప్రీంకోర్టు గురువారం విచారణ చేపట్టింది.
ఈ సందర్బంగా ఎన్నికల కమిషన్ నియామకాలపై కీలక వ్యాఖ్యలు చేసింది. ప్రతిపత నేత లేదా విపక్షంలో మెజార్టీ పార్టీ సభ్యుడు ఉండాలని పేర్కొంది. సీబీఐ చీఫ్ ఎంపిక తరహాలోనే సీఈసీ నియామకం జరగాలని సూచించింది. దీనికి సంబంధించి పార్లమెంట్ చట్టం చేసేంత వరకు కమిటీ పని చేస్తుందని జస్టిస్ కె.ఎం నేతృత్వంలోని ఐదుగురు న్యాయమూర్తుల ధర్మాసనం స్పష్టం చేసింది.
