భారత్ లో 25 ఏండ్ల క్రితం మొట్టమొదటి ‘చైల్డ్ లివర్ ట్రాన్స్ ప్లాంట్’ జరిగింది. 20 నెలల చిన్న పిల్లాడికి చేసిన ‘కాలేయ మార్పిడి’ శస్త్ర చికిత్స సక్సెస్ అవ్వటం న్యూఢిల్లీలోని ఇంద్రప్రస్థ అపోలో దవాఖాన వైద్యుల్ని ఆనందంలో ముంచెత్తింది.
Newdelhi, Nov 19: భారత్ (India) లో 25 ఏండ్ల క్రితం మొట్టమొదటి ‘చైల్డ్ లివర్ ట్రాన్స్ ప్లాంట్’ (Child Liver Transplant) జరిగింది. 20 నెలల చిన్న పిల్లాడికి చేసిన ‘కాలేయ మార్పిడి’ శస్త్ర చికిత్స సక్సెస్ (Success) అవ్వటం న్యూఢిల్లీలోని ఇంద్రప్రస్థ అపోలో దవాఖాన వైద్యుల్ని ఆనందంలో ముంచెత్తింది. ఆ పిల్లవాడు పెరిగి పెద్దవాడై నేడు ఓ డాక్టర్ అవడంతో.. ఆ వైద్యుల మనస్సు గర్వంతో ఉప్పొంగింది. ఆనాటి లివర్ మార్పిడి జరిగిన తమిళనాడుకు చెందిన సంజయ్ కందసామి ఎంబీబీఎస్ చదువుకొని కాంచీపురంలోని స్థానిక దవాఖానలో వైద్యుడిగా సేవలు అందిస్తున్నాడు. ఇది తమకు ఎంతగానో గర్వకారణమని శస్త్ర చికిత్స వైద్యుల బృందంలో ఒకరైన అనుపమ్ అన్నారు.
In 1998, a team of doctors in #Delhi performed #India's first-ever successful liver transplant on Sanjay Kandasamy, barely 20 months old then. 25 years down the line, the boy has grown to become a doctor himself & set to tie the knot.
