18వ శతాబ్దపు మైసూరు రాజు టిప్పు సుల్తాన్కు చెందిన కత్తి, జెమ్ సెట్ క్రిస్టీస్ వేలంలో భారీ ధర పలికాయి. వీటిని రూ.1.01 కోట్లు ఇచ్చి ఓ వ్యక్తి కొనుగోలు చేశారు.
Newdelhi, Oct 28: 18వ శతాబ్దపు మైసూరు రాజు టిప్పు సుల్తాన్ (Tipu Sultan)కు చెందిన కత్తి (Sword), జెమ్ సెట్ క్రిస్టీస్ వేలంలో భారీ ధర పలికాయి. వీటిని రూ.1.01 కోట్లు ఇచ్చి ఓ వ్యక్తి కొనుగోలు చేశారు. గురువారం జరిగిన ది ఆర్ట్ ఆఫ్ ది ఇస్లామిక్ అండ్ ఇండియన్ వరల్డ్ సేల్లో ఆయనకు చెందిన మరో కత్తికి ఆశించిన ధర రాలేదు. టిప్పు మరణానంతరం భారత దేశంలో బ్రిటిష్ అధికారాన్ని బలోపేతం చేసిన చార్లెస్ వద్ద ఈ కత్తులు ఉన్నాయి. వీటిని అమ్మడం ద్వారా వచ్చే సొమ్మును ఈ కుటుంబానికి చెందిన పోర్ట్ ఎలియట్ ఎస్టేట్ కు మరమ్మతులు చేయించడానికి ఉపయోగిస్తామని ఈ ఎస్టేట్ అధికార ప్రతినిధి తెలిపారు.
