నీరజ్తో పాటు మరో భారత జావెలిన్ స్టార్ డీపీ మను కూడా వరల్డ్ అథ్లెటిక్స్ చాంపియన్షిప్స్ ఫైనల్ రేసులో నిలిచాడు. తొలుత 78.10 మీటర్ల దూరం జావెలిన్ విసిరిన అతడు.. 81.31 మీ.తో ఫినిష్ చేశాడు. తద్వారా గ్రూప్- ఏ నుంచి మూడో స్థానంలో నిలిచాడు. ఈ సీజన్లో దోహా డైమండ్ లీగ్లో భాగంగా నీరజ్ 88.07 మీటర్ల దూరం జావెలిన్ విసిరాడు. తాజాగా బుడాపెస్ట్ ఫీట్తో తన గత రికార్డును అధిగమించాడు. కాగా తన కెరీర్లో అత్యుత్తమంగా నీరజ్ చోప్రా.. 89.94 మీటర్లు జావెలిన్ విసిరాడు.
