ఈ తనిఖీల్లో భాగంగా వ్యాపారులు హానికర రసాయనాలతో మామిడి పండ్లను విక్రయిస్తున్నట్లు తేలింది. అధికారులు ఐదుగురు వేర్వేరు పండ్ల విక్రయదారులను అరెస్టు చేసి వారి నుంచి రూ. 12.61 లక్షల విలువైన మామిడి పండ్లను స్వాధీనం చేసుకున్నారు.పండ్ల విక్రయదారులకు కౌన్సెలింగ్ చేసి, పండ్లను పండించడానికి కాల్షియం కార్బైడ్ను ఉపయోగిస్తున్నట్లు తేలితే శిక్షించబడుతుందని అధికారులు హెచ్చరిస్తున్నారు.ఫుడ్ సేఫ్టీ వివిధ విధానాలను కూడా సూచించింది.
