పాము కాటుతో ఏటా దేశంలో దాదాపు 60 వేల మంది మృత్యువాత పడుతున్నారు. దీంతో పాముకాటుకు కొత్త తరహా విరుగుడును ఇండియన్ ఇన్స్టిట్యూట్ ఆఫ్ సైన్స్ (ఐఐఎస్సీ) శాస్త్రవేత్తలు కనుగొన్నారు.
Newdelhi, Feb 23: పాము కాటు(Snake Bite)తో ఏటా దేశంలో దాదాపు 60 వేల మంది మృత్యువాత పడుతున్నారు. దీంతో పాముకాటుకు కొత్త తరహా విరుగుడును ఇండియన్ ఇన్స్టిట్యూట్ ఆఫ్ సైన్స్ (ఐఐఎస్సీ) (IISc) శాస్త్రవేత్తలు కనుగొన్నారు. పాము విషాన్ని నిర్వీర్యం చేసే సింథటిక్ యాంటీబాడీ తయారుచేశారు. తైవాన్ పాము విషాన్ని ఎలుకలకు ఇంజెక్ట్ చేసి, యాంటీబాడీల పనితీరును పరిశీలించారు. భారత్ లోని నాగుపాము, సబ్ సహారాలో ఎక్కువగా ఉండే బ్లాక్ మాంబా పాము విషాలపైనా ప్రయోగాలు చేశామని, సంప్రదాయ యాంటీబాడీల కన్నా.. ప్రస్తుతం అభివృద్ధి చేసిన సింథటిక్ యాంటీబాడీ దాదాపు 15 రెట్లు సమర్థంగా పనిచేస్తున్నదని సైంటిస్టులు తేల్చారు.
