Stampede at Congo: ఆర్మీ రిక్రూట్మెంట్ డ్రైవ్లో తొక్కిసలాట, 37 మంది మృతి, 140 మందికి పైగా గాయాలు, కాంగోలో విషాదకర ఘటన
కాంగో ఆర్మీ రిక్రూట్మెంట్ డ్రైవ్లో భాగంగా ర్యాలీలో జరిగిన తొక్కిసలాటలో 31 మంది మరణించారు. పలువురు తీవ్రంగా గాయపడినట్లు అధికారులు తెలిపారు. కాంగో రాజధాని బ్రజ్జావిల్లేలోని ఓర్నానో స్టేడియంలో ఆర్మీ రిక్రూట్మెంట్ డ్రైవ్ను అధికారులు నిర్వహించారు.
కాంగో ఆర్మీ రిక్రూట్మెంట్ డ్రైవ్లో భాగంగా ర్యాలీలో జరిగిన తొక్కిసలాటలో 37 మంది మరణించారు. పలువురు తీవ్రంగా గాయపడినట్లు అధికారులు తెలిపారు. కాంగో రాజధాని బ్రజ్జావిల్లేలోని ఓర్నానో స్టేడియంలో ఆర్మీ రిక్రూట్మెంట్ డ్రైవ్ను అధికారులు నిర్వహించారు. నవంబర్ 14 నుంచి ర్యాలీ జరుగుతోంది. ఈ క్రమంలో సోమవారం వేలాది మంది యువత ర్యాలీకి హాజరయ్యారు.
యువత గుంపులుగా రావడంతో పరిస్థితిని సిబ్బంది అదుపు చేయలేకపోయారు. దీంతో ఒకరిపై మరొకరు పరుగులు పెట్టడంతో తొక్కిసలాట జరిగింది. సోమవారం అర్ధరాత్రి జరిగిన ఈ ఘటనలో 37 మంది ప్రాణాలు కోల్పోయారు. పలువురు గాయపడినట్లు ప్రభుత్వం మంగళవారం తెలిపింది.
