Newdelhi, Oct 9: అఫ్గానిస్థాన్లో (Afghanistan) శనివారం సంభవించిన భారీ భూకంపం (Earthquake) ఇప్పటివరకు 2,445 మందిని పొట్టనపెట్టుకున్నది. దేశంలో ఎక్కడ చూసినా శవాల కుప్పలే దర్శనమిస్తున్నాయి. ఏ శిథిలాన్ని తొలగిస్తే ఎన్ని శవాలు బయటపడతాయోనని సహాయ బృందాలు భయపడుతున్నాయి. ఇప్పటివరకు 2,445 మంది మరణించారని, మరో 2 వేల గాయపడ్డారని అఫ్గాన్ విపత్తుల మంత్రిత్వశాఖ ప్రతినిధి జనన్ సయీక్ (Janan Sayeeq) తెలిపారు. మృతుల సంఖ్య మరింత పెరిగే అవకాశం ఉందని వెల్లడించారు. శనివారం మధ్యాహ్నం 6.3 తీవ్రతతో పశ్చిమ అఫ్గాన్లోని హెరాత్లో (Herat) భారీ భూకంపం వచ్చిన విషయం తెలిసిందే.
