శనివారం రాత్రి వాయవ్య మడగాస్కర్ తీరం దగ్గర్లోని హిందూ సముద్రజలాల్లో పడవ మునిగిపోయింది. ఈ ప్రమాదంలో 34 మంది జల సమాధి అయ్యారు. వీరంతా బతుకుదెరువు కోసం సముద్రమార్గంలో విదేశానికి వలసవెళ్తున్న శరణార్థులుగా గుర్తించారు.
మడగాస్కర్ అధికారులు తెలిపిన వివరాల ప్రకారం ఫ్రాన్స్ అధీనంలోని మయోటే ద్వీపానికి చేరుకునేందుకు మడగాస్కర్ దేశంలోని అంబిలోబే, టమతమే, మజుంగా ప్రాంతాలకు చెందిన 58 మంది శరణార్థులు ఒక పడవలో బయల్దేరారు.మార్గమధ్యంలో నోసీ బే అనే ద్వీపం సమీపంలో హిందూ సముద్రజలాల్లో పడవ మునిగింది. ఈ ప్రమాదంలో నీట మునిగిన 34 మంది మృతదేహాలను వెలికితీసినట్లు అధికారులు తెలిపారు. 24 మందిని అక్కడి మత్స్యకారులు కాపాడారు.
