"ఈ శాసన అభివృద్ధి స్వలింగ సంపర్కంపై దేశం యొక్క వైఖరిలో ఒక ముఖ్యమైన దశను సూచిస్తుంది. ఉగాండా అధికార పరిధిలో స్వలింగ సంబంధాలు లేదా సంబంధిత కార్యకలాపాలలో నిమగ్నమయ్యే వ్యక్తులకు చట్టపరమైన చిక్కులను తెస్తుంది" అని ఉగాండా వైస్ ప్రెసిడెంట్ కార్యాలయం ట్వీట్ చేసింది.
