ఎల్ వీఎం3 ఉపగ్రహ వాహక నౌక ద్వారా చంద్రయాన్ 3 రాకెట్ విజయవంతంతంగా భూ కక్ష్యలోకి ప్రవేశించింది. 24 రోజులపాటు భూ కక్ష్యలోనే ప్రదక్షిణ చేయనుంది. అనంతరం 3.5 లక్షల కిలోమీటర్లు ప్రయాణించి చంద్రుడి కక్ష్యలోకి ప్రవేశించనుంది. తర్వాత చంద్రుడి దక్షిణ ధృవంలో ల్యాండ్ అయి అక్కడి ఉపరితలంపై అధ్యయనం చేయనుంది.
