ప్రముఖ విమానయాన సంస్థ ఎయిర్ ఇండియా (Air India)కి డైరెక్టరేట్ జనరల్ ఆఫ్ సివిల్ ఏవియేషన్ (Directorate General of Civil Aviation) రూ.1.10 కోట్ల భారీ జరిమానా విధించింది. భద్రతకు సంబంధించిన నిబంధనలు (safety-related violations) ఉల్లంఘించినందుకు గానూ ఈ భారీ జరిమానా విధించింది. ఎయిర్ ఇండియా ఉద్యోగి నుంచి అందిన ఫిర్యాదు మేరకు డీజీసీఏ చర్యలకు ఉపక్రమించింది. ఆ ఫిర్యాదుపై సమగ్ర దర్యాప్తు చేపట్టినట్లు వెల్లడించింది. ఎయిర్ ఇండియాకు డీజీసీఏ జరిమానా విధించడం వారంలో ఇది రెండోసారి. గత గురువారం కూడా ఎయిర్ ఇండియా సంస్థకు డీజీసీఏ పైలట్ల రోస్టరింగ్ నిబంధనలు ఉల్లంఘించినందుకు గానూ ఎయిరిండియాకు రూ.30 లక్షల జరిమానా వేసింది.
