కొచ్చిలో ఓ వ్యక్తి రోడ్డు పక్కన పోర్న్ చూస్తూ పోలీసులకు దొరకగా, సీక్రెట్గా పోర్న్ చూడటం అనేది నేరం కాదు, ఇలాంటి ఘటనలో కేసు నమోదు చేయడం వారి వ్యక్తిగతేచ్ఛను అడ్డుకున్నట్లే అవుతుందని కేరళ హైకోర్టు తీర్పు వెలువరించింది. మొబైల్ ఫోన్లో అశ్లీల చిత్రాలను వీక్షించినందుకు రోడ్డు పక్కనే పోలీసులు అరెస్టు చేసిన వ్యక్తిపై కేసు నమోదు చేసిన కేసును కేరళ హైకోర్టు గత వారం రద్దు చేసింది.
ఒకరి ఫోన్లో అశ్లీల ఫోటోలు లేదా వీడియోలను పంపిణీ చేయకుండా లేదా బహిరంగంగా ప్రదర్శించకుండా "ప్రైవేట్గా" చూడటం IPC ప్రకారం అశ్లీలతకింద నేరంగా పరిగణించబడదని జస్టిస్ PVKunhikrishnan పేర్కొన్నారు. అటువంటి కంటెంట్ను చూడటం అనేది ఒక వ్యక్తి యొక్క ప్రైవేట్ ఎంపిక అని, కోర్టు అతని గోప్యతలోకి చొరబడదని పేర్కొంది.
