దేశంలో ఒమిక్రాన్ వేరియంట్ నేపథ్యంలో కొవిడ్ కేసులు పెద్ద ఎత్తున వెలుగుచూస్తున్నాయి. గత 24 గంటల్లో దేశవ్యాప్తంగా 2,64,202 కేసులు నమోదయ్యాయి. ఇక, ఒమిక్రాన్ ఇన్ఫెక్షన్ల సంఖ్య 5,753కు పెరిగింది. నిన్నటితో పోలిస్తే ఒమిక్రాన్ కేసుల సంఖ్యలో 4.83 శాతం పెరుగుదల కనిపించింది. దేశంలో నమోదైన తాజా కేసులతో కలుపుకుని 12,72,073 కేసులు ఇంకా క్రియాశీలంగా ఉండగా, రోజువారీ పాజిటివ్ రేటు 14.78 శాతానికి పెరిగింది. వారపు పాజిటివిటీ రేటు 11.83 శాతంగా ఉంది. గత 24 గంటల్లో 1,09,345 మంది కోలుకుని ఇళ్లకు చేరుకున్నారు. నిన్న ఒక్కరోజే 315 మంది కరోనాతో మరణించారు. మొత్తం మరణాల సంఖ్య 4,85,350కు చేరుకుంది.
