ఎయిర్ ఇండియా ఎక్స్ప్రెస్ విమానం గాల్లో ఉండగా ఇంజిన్లో మంటలు వచ్చాయి. దీంతో అప్రమత్తమైన పైలట్ విమానాన్ని వెంటనే వెనక్కి మళ్లించి సురక్షితంగా ల్యాండ్ చేశారు. దీంతో అంతా ఊపిరి పీల్చుకున్నారు. ఎయిర్ ఇండియా ఎక్స్ప్రెస్ విమానం శుక్రవారం ఉదయం అబుదాబి నుంచి కాలికట్ (కేరళ, కోజికోడ్)కు బయలుదేరింది. టేకాఫ్ అయి విమానం వెయ్యి అడుగుల ఎత్తులో ఉండగా ఇంజిన్లో సాంకేతిక సమస్య కారణంగా మంటలు చెలరేగాయి.
దీంతో అప్రమత్తమైన పైలట్ వెంటనే విమానాన్ని తిరిగి అబుదాబి విమానాశ్రయంలో సురక్షితంగా ల్యాండ్ చేసినట్లు సంబంధిత అధికారులు వెల్లడించారు. ఘటన సమయంలో విమానంలో 184 మంది ప్రయాణికులు ఉన్నారని.. వారంతా సురక్షితంగా ఉన్నట్లు ఎయిర్ఇండియా ఎక్స్ప్రెస్ అధికారులు తెలిపారు.
